What Teaching Barre for 1 year at H2L has taught me

I can’t believe that H2L Studio is approaching their 1 year anniversary! It’s crazy to me that I’ve been instructing Barre to all of our beautiful clients for 365 days.

After reflecting on the last 12 months, I wanted to share with you what I have learned from you all.

Yes, you, the clients of H2L studio have taught me more than you realize and I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am for it. Out of everything I’ve learned this year, there are three areas that all really resonate with me and I wanted to share them with you.

1. I’ve learned that relationships are limitless.

barre mechanicsburgBefore we opened, I had a lot of people in my life that I cared about. I had friends from childhood, from high school and from college. I had family friends, work friends and even a friendly relationship with the produce man at the supermarket. I’ve never actually sat down to count the relationships in my life.. so I can’t quantify before H2L and after H2L. If I could I know all of my new H2L friends would make the after count skyrocket. There is no limit on friendships in this life.  I have enjoyed getting to know you each on a personal level and am so happy to call you each not my clients, but my friends!

2. Exercise is life changing.

I knew this before I started working at H2L, but the past year has solidified that fact for me. I fully support the research that backs me up, but I am a firm believer in how you feel. Exercise makes people feel better. People who feel better have a better day, week and month! By working out, you can gain confidence in your body, feel more awake during the day and be more productive. Those feelings are in fact life changing.

3. You can never stop learning.

Ever. There’s always something new to explore. As a fitness professional, it’s my job to keep your classes interesting and fun. If we did the same moves every week, you’d get bored! There’s always something new I can teach you. There’s always something new I can learn. New moves, new songs, new faces, new cues.. the list goes on! You can never stop learning because that means you’ve stopped growing.. and I won’t ever settle for that.. neither should you!

barre instructorSo, as we approach our 1 year anniversary, I just wanted to let all of H2L Studio’s clients know that you are appreciated! You have helped make this studio a community where we can all work towards our goals, grow as people and make relationships along the way. THANK YOU for teaching me. I look forward to many more years of Barre with you all!!

Join me this week for classes at H2L in Mechanicsburg.
