What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is a slower paced yoga class. Rather than focusing on strength, yin yoga focuses on creating space within the body. It’s especially great for anyone with tight hips or low back issues.

What should I expect at this class? When you come to the studio, you’ll find a pile of props at your spot. We’ll use blankets, blocks, and maybe a bolster to support each pose. Speaking of poses, each class will consist of only 6-8 poses. We spend a lot of time in each pose, so the props are important to help you sustain the pose safely. Most poses will be seated, from your back, or on your belly.

What are the benefits of Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is great for increasing flexibility. This will help you in any yoga practice. Because it’s so slow paced, it’s also extremely relaxing and meditative. Perfect for a Friday evening!
