H2L Kid’s Yoga Instructors

kids yogaMeet Laura

The Facts: Laura Bickhart teaches Kid Yoga at H2L studio. She received her teaching certification through Kunga Kids Yoga at Village Yoga in Duck, NC. She is 200 RYT certification through Yoga Farm Ithaca.

Her History: Laura was introduced to yoga in 2006 and has grown with it over the years. She fell deeper in love with her practice through Ashtanga yoga and in more recent years the variety of vinyasa flow classes. While she has always wanted to teach yoga, she became more aware of the need to introduce the many benefits to children while accompanying her daughter to kid yoga classes. She believes that children truly are our future and the benefits of yoga will help them to grow in a multitude of ways. Laura believes that yoga is so much more than asanas (poses) and is enthusiastic to share with others.

What to expect: In Laura’s classes you can expect fun, exercise and games while teaching underlying messages such as compassion, courage and gratitude. Upbeat music that kids can relate to energizes the class and brings together the closing during final relaxation. Simple asanas and breath work are explored but the #1 rule for Kid Yoga is to be kind!

Favorite Quote: “Like the nubs and shoots about to break ground in the spring, something in our very fiber knows where the light is, even when we can’t see it”

Guilty Pleasure: Justin’s peanut butter cups and microbrews (but not together)

What to expect: Whether holding space for expectant or new moms, seasoned yogis, athletes or beginners, Lyndsay’s classes create a safe and accessible environment to explore, connect and uplift. She incorporates mindfulness as well as breath and body awareness to meet others wherever they are, making her classes suitable for all levels of fitness.

Favorite Quote: “Live each moment completely and the future will take care of itself.” – Paramahansa Yogananda
