The Facts: Lissa Schubert teaches Yoga at H2L Studio. She’s a certified 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
Her History: Her yoga practice started back in college as her required gym course. She fell in love instantly and craved more. After finding a lot of classes unsatisfactory, she knew then she wanted to teach yoga and show that it wasn’t about what your body could do, but about what your mind could do as well. Over the last few years, yoga has evolved her both mentally and physically. Learning to unite breath with movement, slowing down, and connecting her to her true being is what yoga has taught her so far. She believes yoga is about creating space and awareness so that we can all open up and be a creative energy center for ourselves in all aspects of our lives.
What to expect in class: In Lissa’s Vinyasa yoga classes, you can expect a slow flow, but don’t let that fool you! You’ll strengthen, tone, balance, stretch, and flow all with some upbeat music, laughs, and overall welcoming energy.

The Facts: You will see Melissa Platt leading yoga classes at H2L. She became RYT 200 Hr Certified with Yoga Alliance in March of 2018.
Her History: Melissa graduated from Penn State in 2012 and has always been an active soul. After college, she randomly took a Power Vinyasa class to switch up her running, HIIT, and weight lifting routine. She ended up falling in love with it. The challenging flow and connecting breath to movement help her sink into a meditative state. After taking classes for a couple of months, she realized things started to fall into place- she felt more grounded and powerful. Her love of Power Vinyasa grew tenfold that she enrolled in a 200-hour Teacher Training Program in spring of 2018 to spread the lessons this yoga style has taught her. When she’s not working up a sweat or at her 9-5 grind, she enjoys time with her family, friends, and pup Heffner. She enjoys cooking and hosting breakfast/brunch/dinner parties. Most likely spotted: outdoors soaking up nature, a coffee shop drinking lattes, or a local restaurant reassuring the waiter she didn’t order too much food.
What to expect: One breath, one movement. A flow that will build a fire within to help wring out what no longer serves, leaving you exactly where you should be with everything you need. You will hear the class breathing as one, a mix of music, and the occasional singing.
