10 Thoughts I had During my First Barre Class

Hi, I’m Sarah, H2L’s new intern. I started my first week by taking one of their Barre Classes.

Have you ever wondered what Barre was or if it would fulfill your workout for the day? I walked into class not knowing what I was getting myself into! Was it going to be like Pilates but on a Barre?  Or more like yoga?  I quickly learned it was unlike anything I’ve ever done before.. and my mind was racing the whole time.

Here are 10 thoughts I had during my first Barre class!

1. I wonder if everyone knows this is my first time

2.Wait…that was just the warm up??

3. Okay I can do some squats, but stop telling me to go onto my toes!!

4. Pulsing for the LONGEST 10 seconds of my life

5. Okay just keep yours elbows up, don’t put them down, don’t do it. Stop doing it.
6. Yessss, time to lay on the mat…

7. My abs are BURNING
8. Am I the only one who needs a break?

9. It’s over already? I was just getting into it!
10. When is the next class? Can I sign up now?

Needless to say it was a fun class and I can’t wait to get in the studio again!  Barre was such a good workout for my glutes, thighs, arms and abs!  What more can you ask for than a class that exercises every part of your body?
