Just Be – Greeting Cards – An H2L Original
Some of you may have noticed the photo cards on the rack at the studio, some of you may have overlooked them. Well, I just wanted to take a minute and explain a little bit about them. They are my brain child that I have been thinking of for a long time :).
They are my “Just Be” notes. In this day and age of constant information, interruption, and technology bombardment, I find it hard to simply “Just Be”. I don’t know about you, but I practically have to force myself to take time to just be. It takes some convincing on my part to allow myself to simply breathe, and be still. Many of these photos were taken in my backyard or nearby. Most of them have been a moment in time where I was struck by the beauty of something in nature.
It does my soul good to take time to notice something so simple that in my normal state of chaos, I would be too busy to see. Each of the cards has a “Be” sentiment (Be Happy, Be Comforted, Be Joyful etc – you get the idea :).
If you have someone in your life that might need a reminder to simply “Be”, feel free to look through them and see if one might be what you are looking for. Let me know if you need a card to say something specific. I will see what I can come up with.
The simple act of writing a note brings joy to the recipient, but also to the one sending the note.
After all, while you are writing the note, you are giving yourself a chance to actually take time to express something to someone you love. Of course I love my texts, tweets, instagrams and snaps, but there is something so comforting about getting a hand written note. I don’t think any amount of technology will ever change that.
Any proceeds from the notecards will be going to Operation Wildcat which helps those in need right here in our community. It is a wonderful organization that does such needed work.
