Never tried Pilates Mat class or have you had a prior injury and are unsure if Pilates is for you? Do you want to have a better understanding of Pilates to enhance your current practice?

Join H2L pilates instructor Jennifer Buono for our Beginner Pilates Mat series starting May 3rd.
In the first class you will be introduced to the Pilates method and develop an understanding of the fundamentals of Pilates. Jennifer will incorporate modifications to the classical pilates mat exercises and subsequent classes will continue to build on the fundamentals and progress through the Pilates mat repertoire.

Pilates is a mind-body exercise that has multiple benefits and can be modified for any age and exercise level. Pilates helps to develop long lean muscles, enhances flexibility and improves posture. Pilates develops core strength which has been shown to reduce low back pain.

According to a study in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, those individuals who had chronic low back pain and practiced pilates for just 4 weeks experienced better pain relief than those who visited a physician or specialist.
